Newport Beach Film Fest

The highly anticipated 12th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will be returning April 28 to May 5 with eight days of films from all over the globe. Don’t miss the opening night screening and world premier of “East Fifth Bliss” on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Edwards Big Newport. Michael C. Hall, Peter Fonda and writer/director Michael Knowles, along with other film members will be at the red carpet arrival and post film Q&A. Following the screening, the festival will host an opening night gala at Fashion Island with more than 25 premiere restaurants, a spectacular fashion show presented by Fashion Island, and a hosted bar.

Tickets to the opening night screening and gala cost $125 each and are available now at www.NewportBeachFilmFest.com. Or, you can attend the opening night gala only, tickets cost $80 each.

The festival will showcase more than 350 international films, and an ambitious and inspiring selection of full-length features, shorts, documentaries and animation along with nightly special events, red carpet galas, post screening receptions, compelling conversations with filmmakers, international spotlights, industry seminars and retrospectives.

Fill Baskets of Hope!

Baskets of HopeFill ‘Baskets of Hope’ for the Orange County Rescue Mission for those in need now through April 30 at The District at Tustin Legacy. Participants will be entered to win a $500 shopping spree by bringing their donations to participating stores and restaurants at The District. Donors are asked to fill a bag with non-perishable food items like, peanut butter, canned foods, boxed fruit juice, breakfast bars, cereal, crackers; instant rice, mashed potatoes, soup, and stuffing. Foods can be dropped off at Whole Foods Market, SportClips, RA Sushi, Auld Dubliner Irish Pub, Pablo’s Cantina, Farmer’s & Merchants Bank, Ben & Jerry’s, Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Bluewater Grill Seafood Restaurant. To officially enter the $500 shopping spree, entry forms can be dropped off at any dealership at Tustin Auto Center.
